A Letter To Our Beloved Alumni...
Dear Awareness Center Teacher Training Alumni,
Yogi Bhajan said, "If you want to learn something, read about it. If you want to understand something, write about it. If you want to master something, teach it." Where are you now?
The original dates for Teacher Training have been revised. The new dates
are January 8 through July 12, 2010. The Awareness Center will be offering
a new opportunity for you to sharpen your teaching skills and deepen your
practice. This is your invitation to participate in Teacher Training,
as Continuing Education, for a discounted rate of $1100.
Please consider participating in this program to enhance your practice
and teaching skills. This is an opportunity to expand your knowledge of
the teachings and remember why you took Teacher Training the first time.
During these challenging times, consider taking the next step from attending
class to teaching class. If you have not continued with your daily spiritual
practice, reconnect with a supportive community. To support you in taking
the step toward teaching, the Awareness Center will be offering a Kundalini
Yoga class taught by the Continuing Education teachers. This class will
tentatively be on Friday nights from 5:00 PM to
6:15 PM. You will each have multiple opportunities to teach during the
year!
Teacher Training Continuing Education may be right for you if you fall under one or more of the below categories:
1. Attended Teacher Training, but could use a refresher.
2. You aspire to be an Aquarian Teacher and you need support.
3. You wish to join the Aquarian Academy and become a teacher trainer.
4. Attended teacher training but never finished, or never finished your
requirements.
5. You want to reconnect to the Awareness Center community and deepen
your personal practice.
By attending, you will receive the following:
1. Nine weekends of Teacher Training (January 8 to July 17, 2010).
2. Advanced Practicum/Teaching Coaching
3. Graduation is not required, but is encouraged.
4. An interview with Wahe Guru Kaur; for curriculum guidance and coaching.
5. Certificate requirements are not required if previously completed.
6. Advanced assignments based on personal goals as a teacher.
7. Development of leadership skills.
What is NOT offered to you during Continuing Education:
1. Text and textbooks (you should have them already, or you can purchase
from KRI).
2. IKYTA membership
3. Certification
4. Final Exam
5. Initial interview with Dr. Santokh Singh Khalsa
There will be a limited number of partial scholarships available, please contact Ravijot at the Awareness Center (626-796-1567) for more information.
Please take a moment to truly determine what is most important in your life and how your spiritual practice fits in to your vision. To register, please fill out the Registration Form below and deliver to the Awareness Center attention Ravijot by Jan. 8th 2010.
